Health and Wellness

Health and wellness—physically, mentally and emotionally—are key ingredients to living well. Eating healthy, caring for client safety, exercising regularly, and managing stress are all included in health and wellness.

These include:
  • Tai Chi classes
  • Performing arts
  • Visual arts
  • Walk aerobics
  • Photography
  • Drumming
  • And More . . .

The arts have many special values to people with developmental disabilities, with one of the most important being a method of expression sometimes not possible by any other means. Art can also be a vehicle for learning a wide range of other life skills—including skills in education, employment and communication.
