The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics consistently finds that working-age adults with disabilities participate in the workforce at roughly one-third the rate of those without. Magnolia believes that gap in not acceptable. Every adult who wants to work deserves the opportunity to earn a paycheck, build skills, and experience the dignity that comes with meaningful employment. Magnolia Works is our answer to that belief.

Magnolia currently partners with 8 local businesses to provide a wide variety of employment opportunities for program participants, including retail, clerical, warehouse operations, culinary services and janitorial. This range of opportunity increases participants self-determination, financial security and independence.
Employment changes everything- how a person sees themselves, how they spend their days, how they connect with their community. We’ve seen it firsthand in every client who landed a job, learned a new skill, or bought home their first paycheck. Today, the clients in Magnolia Works program are employed across the Greater New Orleans area.
